PerfectTed, the clean energy drink brand founded by Marisa Poster, Levi Levenfiche, and Teddie Levenfiche and backed by entrepreneur and Dragon’s Den star Steven Bartlett, has become the most valuable company ever to emerge from the BBC business show that managed to secure a deal, reaching a valuation of $200 million.
The matcha-powered drinks brand, founded by Marisa Poster, Levi Levenfiche, and Teddie Levenfiche, first appeared on Dragon’s Den in 2023, where Steven Bartlett invested in the company. Since then, PerfectTed has rapidly expanded its retail presence across the UK, Europe and Australia landing listings in major chains such as Tesco, Holland & Barrett and more.
Unlike many energy drink brands, PerfectTed’s focus on natural caffeine, clean ingredients, and mental wellness has helped it stand out in an increasingly crowded category. The founders have also built a powerful community around the brand, positioning PerfectTed as both a lifestyle movement and a beverage company.
While other Dragon’s Den alumni like Wonderbly and Skinny Tan have achieved impressive exits, PerfectTed’s latest valuation puts it firmly at the top — making Steven Bartlett’s investment the most valuable deal in Dragon’s Den history. Peter Jones did make an offer in the den alongside Steven Bartlett, but after the airing of the show, Peter’s offer did not proceed. Meaning Steven Bartlett was the only investor in Perfectted.
Perfectted said: “We ended up signing our deal with Steven. And although we made a deal with Peter Jones during our pitch, we didn’t end up completely the deal with him. Peter has incredible success and is an expert when it comes to scaling in retail. However, retail distribution wasn’t something we needed support with as much as the brand piece that we wanted to work with Steven closely on.”
Steven invested in PerfectTed following Dragon’s Den and provided a further £1m in investment after the Den, giving him roughly a double digit equity percentage in the company.
Speaking about the milestone, Bartlett said the brand represents “Marisa Poster, Levi Levenfiche, and Teddie Levenfiche are three of the best entrepreneurs I’ve met, they work insanely hard, have clarity of vision and make incredible first-principled decisions – they’re a formidable team that deserve all the credit in the world. I feel lucky to have met them, for them to have had faith in me and to have been part of their journey. This will be one of many incredible companies they build and I can’t wait to watch their story play out over the coming decades!’
PerfectTed said: “Steven has been an incredible mentor and become part of the family since going on the show. We work super closely with him and his incredible team. It’s pretty amazing to work alongside someone you look up to as an inspiration. PerfectTed’s growth continues to accelerate, with further international expansion and product innovation planned for 2025.|
In 2025, PerfectTed was officially named the UK’s fastest-growing founder-led business, ranking #1 in the FEBE Growth 100 with 532% revenue growth. This recognition cements its status not just as a standout from Dragon’s Den, but as a powerhouse among Britain’s most dynamic entrepreneurial brands.
